PIB Media Tour to Maharashtra
With the main objectives of providing the state media the opportunity to witness various Government of India schemes and projects in Mumbai, and also gain insights into the socio-economic and cultural aspects of Maharashtra, Press Information Bureau (PIB) Kohima under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India organised a media tour from October 1-8, 2024.
The 13-member journalists from Nagaland who visited Maharashtra was led by K Sonikumar Singh, Assistant Director, PIB Kohima as the Conducting Officer. During the media tour, the journalists visited several historical sites and places of interest. Besides Mumbai Heritage Walk, the team also visited and interacted with officials at the Coast Guard Western Region (WR) Headquarters, BMC Disaster Control Room, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority, MMRDA Bullet Train Project, National Museum of lndian Cinema, Wangkhede Stadium, Mumbai Raj Bhavan, Bhaba Atomic Research Centre, Aurangabad (AURIC City), Community Radio Station, Ellora Caves and other Heritage sites as well as Himru and Paithani Weaving Centers.
